Pat your face with a soft towel. While the skin is still damp, smooth a quarter-size scoop of moisturizer with hyaluronic acid or glycerin over the face and neck, paying special attention to the corners of the mouth and nose. At bedtime, apply an even richer formula: look for one with a blend of lipids such as squalene or ingredients like panthenol to seal moisture into the skin while you sleep.

Repeat along the upper eyelids to the brow bone. Choose a lip balm with natural oils (but without any salicylic acid), and spread it all the way to the corners and rim, where cracking occurs.
